We don't start with a list of technologies or try to fit every project into the same process. We start by understanding what the business needs, who will use the product and what the software actually needs to do. From there, we make deliberate decisions about structure, design and engineering. Sometimes the right solution is simple. Sometimes it requires a larger custom system. The important part is knowing why we're building it that way.

From there, design and engineering decisions become much clearer. Every part of the product should have a reason to exist.
The goal is not to add as much as possible. It's to build something useful, understandable, and maintainable as the product grows.
